We believe that most complaints are made constructively and can be sorted out at an early stage. We also believe that it is in the best interests of the playgroup and parents that complaints should be taken seriously and dealt with fairly and in a way that respects confidentiality.
Making concerns known
A parent or member of staff who is uneasy about any aspect of the group's provision should first of all talk over any worries and anxieties with the playgroup leader.
If this does not have a satisfactory outcome within two working weeks the concerns should be put in writing and a meeting requested with the playgroup leader and a representative of the Parochial Church Council. Both parties should have a friend or partner present if required and an agreed written record of the discussion should be made. If the complaint is still unresolved OFSTED should be consulted.
Handling Concerns and Complaints
A written record of all concerns and complaints and their outcome will be made and kept for at least three years. This record will be made available to Ofsted, on request.
All complaints received in writing will be investigated and the complainants will be notified of the outcome of the investigation within 28 days of the receipt of the complaint.
These procedures were agreed by Laleham Church Playgroup at a meeting on 26th February 2020
